Famous Places to Visit in Ujjain Beyond Mahakaleshwar

Kal Bhairav Temple
One of Ujjain's most unique temples, Kal Bhairav is dedicated to the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. What makes this temple distinctive is that liquor is offered as prasad to the deity. The priests pour liquor into a bowl near the idol's mouth, and it visibly disappears. The temple is located on the banks of the Shipra river and is an important stop on the Ujjain pilgrimage circuit.
Ram Ghat
The primary bathing ghat on the Shipra river, Ram Ghat comes alive every evening with an aarti ceremony. During Kumbh Mela, millions of pilgrims take a holy dip here. Even on ordinary days, the ghat offers a peaceful riverside experience, especially at sunrise and sunset.
